Since I have been doing a lot more documentation work in Revit these days, I have become significantly more interested in how Dynamo can automate certain documentation tasks. One task that can always drive me crazy (especially in Revit) is renumbering viewports on sheets.
There are several different ways you can renumber viewports. I decided to use a simple ‘pick’ method so I wouldn’t have to do any reordering in Dynamo. This method works well with Continue reading
As follow-up to a previous post, Plant Connector Detail Lines via Dynamo, a reader suggested that the plantings could be sorted a few different ways, including by x and y coordinate values and by distance from another point. I thought these were both good ideas, so I went ahead and made a few nodes that can do just that.
Today’s Landform update has a few new nodes, including Points.SortByDistance and Continue reading
When annotating Planting Plans, it is a fairly common technique to use connector lines in order to show a grouping of plants that are all the same species. These connector lines are usually shown in straight lines or in arcs. Here is an example of straight lines:
Since Revit does not really have any landscape-driven tools, there is no tool that allows you to do this automatically. But this is a perfect application for Dynamo. Continue reading
